The Manager’s role does not end but begins with Performance Appraisal –with the single minded objective to improve his team’s performance, to help them meet or exceed the next goal, either in the short or the long term. There is an urgent need to have different improvement methods for different talents, and staying appropriately engaged with the team. The Manager first needs to know his own communication, managerial and dynamic leadership styles and know his coaching and feedback giving skills. Also the acumen to continuously monitor the team’s capability build up leading to a high performance team.

Facilitator Profile

Prof Bhattacharjee has over 31 years of experience spanning Market Research, Banking, Academics, Corporate Training and is well known for start-ups in corporate academies. Part of the team which founded N L Dalmia Institute, he was Director, Global Leadership Centre, ITM, Kharghar; VP, Research, Training & Content at Wadhawan Holdings (DHFL & spinach Retail), Dean & SBU Head, Kuoni Academy, Dean & COO, Fazlani Altius Business School. He has written over 8 books and over 32 research papers in Services Marketing, Consumer Behaviour and Retailing.

Dr Veena Vohra, Associate Dean and Professor – Human Resources and Behavioral Sciences, SBM, NMIMS. She has completed her doctoral dissertation in the area of Leadership, Emotional Intelligence and Appreciative Inquiry and is an MBA with specialization in HR. She has previously been Chairperson of the MBA Programme and the MBA HR Programme at SBM. She has been conducting Management Development Programmes regularly with L & T, Ambuja Cements, ACC, USV, Novartis, Loop Mobile, Lupin Labs, Mahindra British Telecom, BCCI, NTPC, Reliance Industries etc. The areas of training imparted range from Self Awareness and interpersonal skill building; leadership development; change management; appreciative inquiry; emotional intelligence; performance enhancement through improving personal effectiveness; transactional analysis; team building, amongst others.
